Ribbed belts include CR and EPDM belts.
CR ribbed belts offer some cold and heat resistance.
The belts' flexing, aging and ozone ageing resistance
are generally better than those of unsaturated rubber.
It also offers better oil and solvent resistance
and chemical stability. The belts can endure higher
transverse and pitch pressure and reduced after-strained
deformation.
EPDM ribbed belts offer superior aging resistance,
especially ozone ageing resistance, weather and
heat aging resistance. In addition, the latter belt's
electric insulation properties, chemical corrosion
resistance and impact elasticity, at low temperatures,
are better.
